Decomecc is a high-tech service centre specializing in precision processing of aluminium, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Based in Genk, Belgium, this family-owned company combines over 25 years of experience with strong investments in advanced automation, digital workflows and logistics.
From decoiling & cutting-to-length, slitting, sawing, laser blanking, to CNC milling, Decomecc offers the full spectrum of in-house metal processing capabilities — all under one roof.
Their internal handling of stock, scrap processing, and logistics ensures smooth and reliable supply for their customers.
Beyond technical capability, Decomecc’s strength lies in proactive collaboration. Their team routinely identifies cost- and time-saving opportunities for clients and is committed to “unburdening” them through streamlined operations. With ISO 9001 certification, strong process digitization, and flexible production scheduling, Decomecc delivers both quality and agility.
“Our goal was to make information flow as smoothly as our production — without changing the way we work. Thanks to the Lobster Data Platform and SCOPTIS’s structured approach, we’ve connected our systems, customers, and operators in one digital environment. Today, we have real-time visibility across the entire supply chain, fewer manual steps, and faster communication with our partners — all while keeping the flexibility and service our customers value.”

DECOMECC – Driving Digital Integration and Visibility
Decomecc aimed to strengthen its position as a reliable, high-quality partner in metal processing by improving how information flows across its organization and with its customers. With a broad range of production activities — from decoiling and cutting-to-length to laser blanking and CNC milling — the company needed greater connectivity, transparency, and efficiency throughout its processes.
Their internally developed ERP system formed a solid backbone for operations but was not connected to external partners. Most internal workflows were managed through paper and Office-based tools, which, while effective, limited real-time visibility and made data sharing labor-intensive.
As Decomecc continued to grow and take on more customer-specific projects, the company sought ways to:
The overarching goal was to create a more connected and data-driven production environment — one that enhances customer experience while preserving Decomecc’s flexibility, reliability, and craftsmanship.
SCOPTIS – Digitizing the extended supply chain upto the machine instructions
To advance Decomecc’s digital ambitions, SCOPTIS designed and implemented a modern integration and visibility layer based on the Lobster Data Platform. The objective was to connect Decomecc’s home-built ERP with its customers, suppliers, and production systems — while fully preserving existing applications and proven shop-floor workflows.
The project followed a phased approach, aligned with the platform’s core capabilities:
Across both phases, integrations and orchestrations cover Decomecc’s entire end-to-end production chain. Connectivity extends beyond system-to-system communication to include direct integration with the PLCs controlling production machinery. In this fully connected setup, production orders are automatically translated into machine instructions, and during and after execution, measurement data and process feedback are returned to the central systems — ensuring complete visibility from order to finished product.
Together, these steps have created a connected, transparent, and data-driven environment that improves efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness — positioning Decomecc for continued growth in an increasingly digital supply chain.
Results
For Decomecc, the project marked a major step toward a more connected and transparent way of working — without disrupting what already worked well. By introducing the Lobster Data Platform, Decomecc now benefits from a unified digital backbone that connects its ERP, production systems and external partners.
Information that once moved through paper forms and manual exchanges now flows automatically and in real time. Customer and supplier integrations accelerate project start-up and communication, while internal data sharing reduces errors and improves coordination between departments.
The new customer and production portals give all stakeholders — from operators to management — direct visibility into order and production status. Operators can easily scan, validate, and report digitally, ensuring that data accuracy and process speed go hand in hand. Customers experience faster feedback, clearer insights, and more trust in the production process.
For Decomecc the collaboration with SCOPTIS has delivered:
Decomecc has effectively transformed its supply chain into a connected, data-driven environment — combining the company’s craftsmanship and flexibility with the efficiency of modern digital integration.
